Wooded tracts being opened up
If the building site was recently cleared, tell the contractor what work has already been done and what remains. Stumps, fill, low areas, and unfinished access can change the sequence of the project.
Longer access drives
On rural tracts, the building pad may be well back from the road. Explain the drive length, gate width, tight turns, soft spots, and whether large trucks have already been using the route successfully.
Lake-side and Point Blank projects
For properties closer to Lake Livingston, flag slopes, drainage paths, and tight staging areas early so the contractor can think through access before scheduling a pour.
