Distance from a ready-mix plant is one of the cost factors worth discussing. Give the actual property location early rather than asking for a generic “per square foot” number with no site context.
Small-town driveways
Existing gravel drives, roadside drainage, culverts, and tie-ins can shape the work. If the project connects to a county road, ask the county what requirements apply before work starts.
Shops and equipment buildings
On working acreage, tell the contractor whether the slab will carry pickups, tractors, RVs, trailers, or heavier equipment. For a packaged metal building, provide the supplier's foundation plan.
